The polymerase chain reaction

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a genetic technique used for creating multiple copies of a gene and part of the gene sequencing process. (Phillips, T., n.d) The reason why DNA isolation is important to genetics is because scientists want to know the diagnosing genetic causes of diseases, determining paternity, the creation of new materials, and for forensic use (importance of dna isolation).PCR is important because this allows us to make copies of a targeted segment of the DNA. It is used for the detection of viruses and bacteria, diagnosis of genetic disorders, and DNA fingerprinting. (Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)).Possible experiments could be PCR amplification DNA extraction from ancient bones, genetic variation in the TAS2R38 gene and their association with body mass and food preferences in a certain population. DNA extraction experiments on plants, animals, pharmaceutical products, and etc (Jie, M.W., 2018.).
